Frequently asked questions
Does this handle daylight saving time?
Yes — zones use IANA identifiers like America/New_York, so transitions are automatic: New York is UTC-4 after 2026-03-08 and back to UTC-5 on 2026-11-01. Hard-coded offsets are what break.
Why does a city show "+1 day"?
When the target zone is far enough ahead, the same instant falls on the next calendar day — 10 PM in Beijing is already the next morning in Auckland. The badge prevents scheduling a meeting on the wrong date.
Which cities are included?
Around 40 major world cities across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. If yours is missing, pick another city in the same UTC offset.
