Frequently asked questions
How is the consumption calculated?
Wattage × hours ÷ 1,000 gives kWh — a 2,000 W air conditioner running 8 hours uses 16 kWh a day. Yearly figures extrapolate the monthly pattern ×12.
Are the preset wattages exact?
They are typical averages — a fridge cycles its compressor so its real draw fluctuates, and inverter air conditioners modulate. Check the rating plate on your device for precise numbers.
Does it model tiered or time-of-use pricing?
No — it applies one flat price per kWh. If your utility uses tiers or peak/off-peak rates, run the tool per period or use your blended average price.
