    What is Image Converter

Convert images between JPG, PNG and WebP entirely in the browser via the canvas API: pick the target format, drag the quality slider for lossy formats (it hides for lossless PNG), watch the output size update live, preview and download — your images never leave the device.

    How to use Image Converter

    1. Upload or drop an image
    2. Pick the output format (JPG / PNG / WebP) and adjust quality where applicable
    3. Convert, preview and download the result

    Frequently asked questions

Why is the quality slider sometimes disabled?

PNG output is lossless, so the quality setting only applies to lossy formats like JPG and WebP.

What quality value should I use?

The default is 0.90. JPG and WebP stay visually balanced around 0.8–0.9; drop toward 0.6 for much smaller files and check the preview.

Does the conversion happen on a server?

No — encoding is done by the browser canvas API entirely on your machine.

Will converting JPG to PNG restore quality?

No. Re-encoding only changes the container — detail lost to lossy compression cannot come back.

    Is Image Converter free?

Image Converter is completely free — open the page and use every feature with no hidden charges.

Do I need to download or install Image Converter?

No download or installation is needed. It is an online tool that runs in the browser on your phone, tablet and computer.

Do I need an account to use Image Converter?

No. Use the tool right away — no account or sign-in required.

Does Image Converter work on mobile?

Yes. The page is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets and desktop browsers.
